At the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF), our highly qualified team of urologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, nurses, technicians and physicists work together to provide sophisticated, integrated treatment. Our urologists and radiation oncologists work in the same building and confer on each patient.

Your integrated prostate cancer treatment team meets regularly to discuss planning for selected cases, establish treatment guidelines and coordinate your care with your primary care physician through the use of electronic medical records (EMR).

Our commitment to integrated care begins with our prostate cancer nurse navigator, who organizes care between the patient and the physician. The nurse navigator also serves as an educational resource for the patient; establishes appointments, laboratory tests or other procedures; and helps the patient consider the different treatment options and plan next steps in the treatment process.
