In Transformers (2007), Sam Witwicky (Shia LeBeouf) accidentally gets caught in the middle of a battle between warring alien robots, the Autobots and the Decepticons. As he enters college in the sequel, Sam thinks that he finally has a chance at a normal life. But, as Sam’s Autobot mentor – Optimus Prime – says, “fate rarely calls upon us at the moment of our choosing.”

Sam unknowingly has the location of a dangerous weapon that is sought after by the Decepticons imprinted in his mind. He is soon in the midst of the battle once again, alongside his girlfriend, Mikaela (Megan Fox), the U.S. Army and a team of Autobots.

There are a few drug and sexual references, but the movie is mostly rated PG-13 because of intense action, violence and language. If you enjoy explosions, war strategy, and sweet rides that transform into menacing and gigantic robots in seconds, then this is the summer movie to watch.

Although most of the story is action and sci-fi adventure, some of the characters occasionally spice up the film through humor. It’s also an easy movie to understand, so you don’t have to go out and rent the first Transformers if you haven’t already seen it.
