Mean Girls
Cady (played by Lindsay Lohan) thought her life was perfect. She was home schooled by her zoologist parents in Africa. Then she has to go to public high school where she finds there are so many cliques, so little time. Eventually she finds a few friends including Janis, who hates the “rulers of the school.” The Plastics, as they are known, include Regina, Gretchen and Karen. Cady’s friends convince her to befriend The Plastics and destroy them, but Cady starts to become a Plastic. She follows their crazy dress code… and becomes obsessed with popularity.
The competition heats up when Cady falls for Regina’s ex-boyfriend, and soon it’s an all out girl war. Cady and Regina do everything they can to sabotage each other’s social lives. From “mathlete” to mean girl, Cady’s transformation is a little unbelievable, but the plot and jokes are funny. This movie is blown out of proportion, but it still provides some good laughs by exaggerating the cliques and stereotypes of high school.
The script was written by Tina Fey, who is a star on Saturday Night Live, and she also plays a teacher at the school. We would give this movie 3 out of 4 popcorns. People of all ages can enjoy it. Mean Girls is a hysterical movie that is not slow or boring and will definitely give everyone a good laugh.
