Dirt Rag is a magazine about mountain biking, but it also talks about Cyclocross (mountain biking with thin wheels) and "freak bikes," which are bikes that have single speed, no suspension and sometimes disc brakes. I like mountain biking (and jumping) but even though the cover of this magazine says its about mountain biking, the information inside is mostly about other types of riding that not a lot of kids do. It also has lots of scenic pictures but not many photos of biking or bikes.

Overall, this magazine is mostly for grown-ups because the ads aren’t appropriate for kids, and most of the articles are only relevant for adults. There aren’t enough interesting pictures, and there are long articles about topics that probably won’t seem important to kids. If you are looking for bike magazines that focus on trail riding or jumping, take a look at Mountain Bike Magazine, Mountain Bike Action, Flow, Decline and Bike.
