My mother is the best,
She loves me,
Nourishes me.
And cares for me.

But then I get angry,
All fairness out the window,
I yell and scream,
Then she wipes my eyes.

When she hugs me,
I feel swept away,
Away from all trouble and pain,
Nothing matters anymore.

She can laugh at jokes,
And cry at movies,
Be worried when I am sick or injured,
Even have fun with my friends.

Heroes all have secret identities,
And I think hers is my mom.
She can see through walls,
And sniff out a lie.

If you’ve ever tried to sneak cookies,
Or money from her wallet,
A resounding voice will call,
“Put it back!”

My mom is a super mom,
And I hope yours is too,
Just give her a chance,
And you will see.

One mom is every mom,
And that’s a supermom,
She talks with superdads,
But they don’t compare.

Could never compare,
With moms everywhere.

mom and daughter
