FDA Warning: Manufacturer Recalls Rhino Max Supplement

Product Contains Prescription Medication That May Be Dangerous

The manufacturer of a supplement sold under the name Rhino Max (Rhino V Max) has voluntarily recalled the product because it contained samples of the prescription medication aminotadalafil, a drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat erectile dysfunction. According to the FDA, the supplement, manufactured by Cosmos Trading, Inc., may be dangerous to consumers because aminotadalafil can interact with nitrates found in some prescription medications, such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Aminotadalafil may also cause side effects including headache and flushing.

The Rhino Max (Rhino V Max) supplement is sold in five-tablet or 15-tablet boxes. The product label does not state that the supplement contains aminotadalafil or warn consumers with high blood pressure against taking the product.

Individuals who are currently taking Rhino Max (Rhino V Max) should stop taking it immediately and contact their physician if they experience any problems that they believe may be related to this product. Individuals should also speak to their health care provider before taking any over-the-counter supplements.
