Support Group for Kidney Patients Now Available in Palo Alto
PAMF’s Palo Alto Center will now host a support group for individuals with failing kidneys, chronic kidney disease, kidney transplants and other kidney-related medical conditions, as well as individuals on dialysis, to help them get the support and resources they need.
Organized by the Bay Area Association of Kidney Patients (BAAKP), the group meets quarterly to hear health presentations and discuss issues common to those with kidney-related conditions.
The next meeting will be held on Sunday, October 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. at PAMF’s Hearst Center for Health Education on Level 3 of the Palo Alto Center at 795 El Camino Real in Palo Alto. The meeting will feature a presentation, titled "Kidney Disease and Your Skin," by Bryan Cho, M.D., Ph.D., a dermatologist at PAMF's Mountain View Center. A short social and support hour with refreshments will follow the presentation.
