July/August 2008

Checking test results with just a few clicks. The convenience of requesting appointments and prescription renewals online. The ability to communicate with one’s doctors in a secure setting. These are among the many reasons why patients have once again given PAMFOnline, PAMF's personal health record, high marks on its annual Satisfaction Survey.

According to the survey, 91 percent of PAMFOnline users are satisfied or very satisfied with the service. Echoing this high score, one user said PAMFOnline "gives me peace of mind," while another said the e-health service is "clear, precise, efficient, time saving and professional," among the many glowing remarks users gave to describe PAMFOnline. "A+!" exclaimed another user.

PAMFOnline is a complimentary e-health service offered to all PAMF patients and allows users to log on to a secure Web site 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world. Patients can use PAMFOnline to view test results and key portions of their PAMF electronic health record, request appointments and prescription renewals, and receive customized health information. To make it even easier for patients to manage their health care, PAMF has recently added online bill payment, too.

Subscribers can add online messaging for a nominal fee that allows them to communicate electronically with their physicians in a secure setting. Of PAMFOnline users who subscribe to the online messaging service, 95 percent said they are satisfied or very satisfied with the service.

PAMFOnline also offers Proxy Access that allows adults to log into the PAMFOnline accounts of children under age 12 or adult loved ones for whom they are overseeing health care.

"I love the fact that I can get my test results (through PAMFOnline), but it's really Proxy Access that’s saved me a ton of time," said one user. "I can e-mail my toddler son's doctor and ask questions without sitting on the phone on hold. I can download his immunization record for daycare, and I can schedule appointments. It is absolutely fabulous!"
