Monthly "Breastfeeding Your Newborn" classes are available at PAMF’s Mountain View Center and are recommended for first-time mothers who plan to breastfeed. During the classes, you will learn about prenatal preparation for breastfeeding, handling the first days of feeding, managing breastfeeding and returning to work. After your baby is born, if you need additional help and support, your doctor can refer you to the lactation consultant at our Sunnyvale Center, Jennifer Scales. Ms. Scales is a Certified Lactation Educator and Counselor. Prior to joining PAMF, she was a volunteer with the Nursing Mothers Counsel and brings many years of experience as a mother, professional educator and volunteer counselor to her classes.
