Mountain View/Sunnyvale
Primary care: the best medicine
- We attract the best young family physicians, obstetric/gynecologists, pediatricians and internists
- More than 50 percent of our doctors practice primary care, and over half of them are women
- Many speak fluent Spanish, Russian, Japanese and other languages, making it easy for families with English as a second language to communicate and be understood by their physician
- Through philanthropy, specialized new equipment—such as fetal monitors and pediatric scopes—can be purchased to keep pace with our community’s need for the best primary care for children and adults
New Sunnyvale Health Center
- As early as 2012, we will open a new center for primary care—family medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, and internal medicine—at 301 Old San Francisco Road, site of the original Sunnyvale Clinic
- We will open a new cancer center in the same building
- Cancer specialists, recruited from the nation’s top medical centers, will provide expert medical care and a top-notch patient experience
- A $4-million, top-of-the-line linear accelerator will be purchased for faster and more accurate radiation treatment. People living in Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Cupertino, Saratoga and nearby communities will be able to get all of their outpatient cancer care at one convenient location
