Although often more visible than other medical conditions, children’s skin problems tend to be less serious in nature. Although acne, athlete’s foot and lice can be worrisome for a child’s self image, the medical risks involved with such conditions are low. In fact, many skin problems can be treated with over-the-counter medications.

In this section, you’ll learn more about various skin problems and what can be done to alleviate bothersome symptoms.
